BROTHERHOOD PURPOSE STATEMENT

NORTH CAROLINA BAPTIST MEN MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of Men’s Brotherhood at Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church is to engage men in deepening their daily walk with Jesus Christ, in effectively sharing their faith with others and in participating in missions both locally and globally.
Men Are Strategic!
Why?  Because if we can reach the man, the husband, the father - we can reach the family, the church, the community, the country, and the world for Christ!

The goal of NC Baptist Men is to help North Carolina Baptist Churches and associations involve their members (especially men and boys) in missions and ministry.

The objectives for accomplishing this goal are to:
  • Enable and equip men and boys to be personally involved in mission activities.
  • Encourage men and boys to identify and develop their personal ministries.
  • Educate men and boys concerning mission opportunities.
  • Teach men and boys the importance of praying for and giving to missions.
  • Lead men and boys in developing in all areas and aspects of their lives to become mature, active and involved Christians.

WHAT WE DO

The FCABC Brotherhood raises money yearly to help with various ministries by selling concessions at MerleFest on the grounds of Wilkes Community College.  This is also an outreach for us as we hand out gospel tracts all weekend.
 
We support a large number of various ministries.  
Local Ministries include: 
Hope Ministries including their Toy Store ministry, Wilkes Pregnancy Care Center
Samaritan’s Kitchen Backpack Program, Wilkes County Prison Ministry
Shepherd’s House, Catherine H Barber Homeless Shelter
Ebenezer’s Christian Children’s Home

National and Foreign missions include:  
  • Samaritan’s Purse shoebox ministry
  • Honduras ministries including new water systems
Church Missions include:
Helping our  youth on mission trips to various locations such as:
West Virginia, Tennessee, New York City,  Jamaica, Nepal

Brotherhood Small Group

Meets 2nd Sunday each month at 6:00pm
6:00 - 6:20 pm business meeting (Discuss projects etc)
6:20 pm - Small Group Study
Following each business meeting will be small group study and fellowship.  These small groups are meant to increase fellowship, build relationships, and disciple men of Fishing Creek Arbor.  Current series is Creating a discipleship pathway (Started on Oct 13th meeting).  The next study will be Dr Tony Evans "Kingdom Man".
